ENGLISH IN ACTION

Like every year, the students of the second grade (ALT-2) and the third form (HLT-3A) took part in the English in Action project which lasted for one week, during that week we did not have any regular lessons.

We met our language trainers on Monday February 14 th and the two classes were split in four groups.

First of all we started getting to know each other and we learned a lot about our language trainers Joe and Niki, the other trainers were Terry (with a loud voice) and Leyla.

The atmosphere was really relaxing and we also laughed a lot. One of the favorite activities was the pantomime game where we had to act like celebrities such as Prince Charles and Pamela Anderson.

We learned a lot about the different types of holidays and tourism related jobs, such as hotel manager, chef, tour guide, and receptionist.

Another highlight were mock job interviews because that is really something very useful for our future career.

The seminar ended on Friday with individual presentations which were prepared during the course.

All in all this seminar was really worthwhile, we had a lot of fun J and we would really recommend the English in Action program to other classes.

Some authentic statements:

Lisa: ”It was interesting and fun!!! J “

Dominik: “I enjoyed talking to native speakers.“

Anna: “It was a fantastic time with Joe and Niki!”
